I’m often asked…

 What kind of music
do you play?

AS I start mumbling,
I can see their
eyes glaze over,

“Well, UM…

I mean…

I guess you could say…

I play Fender
P-Bass music…”

What I wish they
would ask is…

 “What kind of music do your friends play?”

Pop, Rock, Electronic,
Folk, Blues…

Whether in a dive bar
in the US,

or in a stadium
overseas,

all of it started the same way…

A friend asked if I wanted to make music with them.

 It also led to getting to endorse some pretty rad
gear companies.

 That’s why,
as much as I love music,
when I think about it all,
I’m filled with gratitude and tempted to climb on the nearest bar to propose, 

“A TOAST!
