The Music & Travel

This spring/summer was bonkers making music with a handful of artists, photoshoots, and an international trip with Sarah.

Earlier this year, Sarah and I snuck off to Ljubljana and Croatia. Up next, in November, is Latvia. (Side note: if any of you have ever been there and have any recommendations, I’d love to hear them. CLICK HERE for my personal email.

Outside of major tour announcements, I don’t post my music calendar on my website anymore, but I usually post about it on /instagram and talk specifics on the /podcast.

The Photography

Life’s a curious thing, no? My photography was a private interest for years but now continues to take up more and more of my time.

Besides the candid-documentary film photographs that I regularly make while backstage or on the road, I’m currently heading up the photography and art direction for multiple artists’ albums to be released this year.

Misty Boyce “Survive” (music video)

I had the massive honor of co-producing, directing, shooting, and editing Misty Boyce’s newest music video, “Survive.” (Released October, 2026)

Misty is a true artist in the increasingly rare sense of the word. She cares deeply about the tiny choices, trusts her instinct, and is willing to chase an idea into the unknown.

“Survive” became one of those projects where the lines between jobs disappeared. We built the idea together, chased light, made things up as we went, and let the imperfections become part of the storytelling.

I got to wear a ridiculous number of hats on this one, from helping shape the concept to standing behind the camera to eventually sitting alone with all those little fragments in the edit and figuring out what they wanted to become. (I’m reminded of hearing a director once say, “All films are made and found on the editing-room floor.”)

It’s one of my favorite kinds of creative work: a small group of people, a good song, a camera, and trusting each other’s instincts.

This past year, I’ve taken a break from the podcast to focus on other creative endeavors, and I get asked all the time if it’s over for good… it’s not. More on that soon! Or maybe later…
