Whether I’m on the road as a musician or commissioned to shoot portraits for artists and brands, I exist in a constant state of creating and sharing images I’ve made.
Because of this, I’ve shifted from a traditional “work-for-hire” model to a licensing model.
Yeah, yeah… licensing model sounds boooooring. So here’s the fun-sized version:
I retain ownership of my photos, and you get permission to use them for specific purposes we agree on. Easy!
Now, you might be thinking:
“But didn’t I pay you to shoot these photos?”
Totally fair question, and the answer is: you paid for my time, skill, and creative process, not to own the photos outright.
You’re Free To Use These Photos For:
Social Media — posts and stories on your own accounts. (Tag me: @therobmorgan)
Personal Website or Blog — please credit Rob Morgan somewhere visible.
Not Included (Unless We Discuss It First):
The following uses require a separate license, as agreed upon in the invoice you received from me. (If you want to use them this way , I’d love to make it happen, just reach out: therobmorgan@gmail.com)
Album or Single Artwork (digital or physical)
Press Kits or Promotional Materials
Merchandise
Brand Collaborations or Sponsored Posts
Media & Publicity (digital or print)
Streaming Platforms & Artist Profiles
If anything here feels unclear, or you’re dreaming up a cool use case… just ask. I’m all about collaboration, not fine print.
Cheers,
